Buying Italian Ceramics By MOD at DerutaItaly.com
To buy Italian ceramics / Majolica on DerutaItaly.com, follow these
six steps:

| Step 1: |
Find the ceramics you wish to buy:
DerutaItaly
maintains a database of a wide variety of hand-painted ceramic
patterns and designs. |
| Step 2: |
Add the ceramics to your shopping cart:
Select
the ceramics you want by adding them to your shopping cart.
Once you have selected all the ceramics you want to purchase,
click on "check out" to indicate that you wish to buy them. |
| Step 3: |
Agree to the
Deruta Italy Purchase Agreement:
The next step is to read and agree to the DerutaItaly
Purchase Agreement. Please read this DerutaItaly Purchase Agreement
carefully as it explains the conditions of your purchase! For
example, you agree to:
- Pay the price in full via Visa or Mastercard;
- Notify DerutaItaly via confirmed email (
lifeinitaly@gmail.com),
telephone (+39 075 9711576), or facsimile (212-918 9012), if
you are not fully satisfied with the ceramics
within
5 calendar days of receipt of the ceramics.
Within ten (10) days of receipt of the ceramics, pay shipping
and insurance (in the full amount of the purchase price) to
return the ceramics to the factory if you are unsatisfied with
your purchase.

| Step 3 (alternate) Bridal registry: |
Add the ceramics to your wish list / bridal registry:
Select the ceramics you would like to buy or you would
like to have bought for you. Once you have selected all the
ceramics you are interested in, click on "store my wish list"
to save your choices and email your friends or family about
it. Wish list orders are charged at the time of the order. |

Complete the order form:
After you have agreed
to the Deruta Italy Purchase Agreement by clicking on "OK",
you must next complete the MOD / Deruta Italy Order Form with
personal, billing, shipping, and payment information. We currently
accept payment B y Visa, Mastercard,American Express,
Personal checks, Money order.

Step 5:

Wait for your ceramics: MOD /
Deruta
Italy has two business days to ship your ceramics if they are
in stock, if not you will be notified by email with a new shipping
shedule. Actual shipping time may vary depending on the nature
of the ceramics purchased and the distance between you and the
remote town of Deruta, Italy. If you have not received the ceramics
in 4-5 weeks, please email us at

Returns: MOD / Deruta Italy.com offers a five (5)
day money back satisfaction guaranteed return policy.
However, you are responsible for shipping and insurance costs
to return the ceramics back to the following address:

Rockville, MD 20855 USA
Once you receive your ceramics, you have
5 calendar
days to notify Deruta Italy in writing by fax (+39 075 972296),
or confirmed email at
deruta@gmail.com that you intend to return it and ten
(10) calendar days to ship it back to the factory.
Shipment must be fully insured at the purchase price of the
work.
Once Deruta Italy has received the ceramics undamaged, Deruta
Italy will credit your credit card account for the full price
of the ceramics. Again, you are responsible for shipping and
insurance charges to return the ceramics to the Deruta Italy!

Damaged Ceramics: Augusto is in charge of shipping
and has being shipping ceramics internationally for quite a
few years, we also purchased a foam machine that fills in the
box and prevent the ceramics form moving in the box. Recently
breakage problems are really rare. In any case Deruta Italy
offers a five (5) day money back damaged ceramics return policy
and Deruta Italy will refund your shipping charges.
Once you receive your ceramics, you have
5 calendar
days to notify MOD / Deruta Italy in writing by fax
(+39 075 972296), or confirmed email at
deruta@gmail.com
that the pottery arrived broken and an additional
5 calendar
days to send a photograph of the damaged ceramics via
email (deruta@gmail.com)
or mail.
If you are instructed to return the damaged ceramics, you
have seven (7) calendar days to ship them back to the following
address:

Once MOD / Deruta Italy has received the damaged ceramics
or otherwise determined that your claim is valid, MOD / Deruta
Italy will credit your credit card account for the full price
of the ceramics, plus any shipping and insurance costs.

When does DerutaItaly charge my credit account?

Normal orders: MOD / Deruta Italy charges your credit account only when the
merchandise is ready to be shipped, or in case of special orders (merchandise
not in stock) we charge the credit card when the order is placed into production.
Bridal registry orders : we charge the bridal registry order at
the time the order is placed. Most of time however the order is not shipped immediately:
the order is shipped when the bride / groom ask as to do so and this is to group
several items together and to minimize shipping costs.
If we do not receive a written
notification from you within five (5) calendar days of your receipt
of the ceramics, the sale is final. No returns or refunds
will be granted after the five (5) calendar day period has expired.
If we receive written notification from you within the five (5)
days, we will refund the purchase price in full to your credit card
after receiving the ceramics undamaged (for satisfaction guaranteed
claims) or damaged (for damaged ceramics claims).

Although MOD / Deruta Italy cannot guarantee the security of
any information submitted over the web, it does use a variety of
security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.
User personal information is maintained behind secured networks
and is only accessible to a limited number of employees who have
special access rights to those systems. All sensitive/credit information
supplied by users is transmitted in encrypted form via Secure Socket
Layer (SSL) technology and then stored in DerutaItaly databases
to be accessed only as stated above.

any information submitted over the web, it does use a variety of

to our US contact Grazia / DerutaItaly if you are simply dissatisfied with them. Once you receive your
ceramics, you have 5 calendar days to notify DerutaItaly in writing

that you intend to return it and ten (10) calendar days to ship
it back to the designated return location. Shipment must be fully
insured at the purchase price of the work. Once the ceramics have
been received undamaged, DerutaItaly will credit your credit card
account for the full price of the ceramics.
Are there any US custom fees?

Usually custom fee for a private party are pretty small so they are
rarely charged by US customs. Normally fees vary from 0% ( hand painted
art work) to 6% for an average of 3% of the total value. However the
buyer would be responsible for the fee and - eventually - the processing
fees
This is an international transaction : are there any credit card fees?

Usually international convertion fee for an international transaction ( Euro / dollar)
are pretty small and they are normally offset by the final cost of the merchandise
which ( since you are buying factory direct ) is vell below US retail prices for
the same quality items
